Review of Jumper

Jumper (2008 Video Game)
3/10
What's the matter with me?!
24 July 2009
I have to be honest with you fellow IMDb users... I bought this game on December 2008 for two reasons: because it was in offer, I had only to pay around $18 bucks for it. I said: "what the heck?, it can't be that bad".

Second and most important; the cover looked great! I mean, I'm in love with Egyptian culture and most of all, with the GREAT SPHYNX. I've been there so I can say that it's an amazing experience so I thought the video game could have some "magic" about it.

Oh, huge mistake... The video game looks, plays, and sounds like a Super Nintendo effort. The game play is atrocious! I mean, you only get to push buttons in the most tedious hack and slash style I've seen! Not even in "Golden Ax" from the Arcades.

The missions are repetitive, easy to beat, and there's no real emotion or the feeling of wanting to get involved into the plot.

I won't even get into the production values because most of it is taken from the movie directly but when it's time to exploit the system's "power", you just don't receive anything positive.

I regret buying this game but hey, at least I really like the cover of it.
