Warning: Spoilers
Anyone whoever questions the appeal that Vicar of Dibley had on either side of the Atlantic or anywhere else (it was almost run into the ground in America in much the same way that Are You Being Served was done and Keeping Up Appearances has steadily approached) should look to this episode and Vicar Live, where Geraldine hosts a radio show and just listen.

Don't despise the actors or characters, but listen to their exchanges. Especially during the town hall meetings.

It is in this episode, Celebrity Vicar, that the conversation gets turned so lop-sided (and faster than I realized) about a serial killer coming to the stage performance they were planning, "and he slits our throats and leaves our bodies in a pool of blood" that prompts David, and rightfully so in the minds of any observer, to inquire "would anyone have the address of this serial killer?" Who wasn't thinking that very same thing? Vicar Live is the one that is amusingly interrupted by the prize of a trip to Euro Disney, I think, some American theme park in Europe, I believe, causing the characters to give way to singing favorite Disney tunes.

Add to this when the committee members must donate change if they swear and the VoD's appeal is apparent.

Downfalls, unfortunately would be David's sudden love for Geraldine, no matter how well the actors delivered the material, it was just too sudden.

But to this day, I can still think "anyone got the address of this serial killer?" and I can't stop laughing.

And be warned this is the episode with Jim going full monty. A suggestion would be to watch the audience's reactions. It's more of an eye-opener to the characters than anything on the stage.
