One of the best war movies in history!

Warning: Spoilers
I love low budget war flicks, I always loved them so I had to check 'Forgotten Heroes' especially when I saw who is responsible for that. Jack Marino's film debut wasn't easy to do. The director had a very hard time making the movie and many people would gave up, but not Jack. He wanted to do 'Forgotten Hroes' so hard, he survived every single problem and he did truly masterpiece with very limited budget. The plot looks very simple - Group of marines is on their mission in Cambodia to rescue Russian general who wants to change sides and support Americans. Naturally not everything is going like it should and soldiers find themselves chased by best soviet soldiers commanded by ruthless colonel Brazinsky. Although the plot seems to be very simple, It's not just ordinary story like many war flicks done in Italy in late 80's. 'Forgotten Heroes' is very serious and touching movie. Not actually kind of film you are watching with bunch of friends, drinking beer and eating popcorn. If you loved 'Platoon' forgot about that! 'Forgotten Heroes' is much better movie which combines a lot of action with an intelligent dialogues between the characters. It wouldn't be so great without good actors and that's exactly what we have here! William Smith is just perfect for his part and he did amazing job like he always does, but most of the cast have proved they are great actors and such a shame none of them ever went to the big budget productions. Kudos for David Campbell who is amazing as always. I love this man, he always delivers such a great performance but in 'Forgotten Heroes' he's not alone. Johnnie Johnson who did great job in 'Hell on the Battleground'is also here along with Bobby Johnston ('Hollywood's New Blood'), Rick Massery ('Killzone'), Joel Weiss, Bob Orwig ('Platoon') and even Jack Marino himself in great cameo as Dave DeLuca. What else we have here? Great scenery, some good fight sequences and very nice cinematography by Peter Wolf. It's hard to describe all of that. You really need to see it by yourself and even if your heart is made from stone, you will be touched by this little gem, that's guaranteed. So don't waist time, go buy the copy from official website and keep in mind every $5 from each DVD will go for disabled veterans and Not many people would be so generous. Enjoy the movie and remember - It's not just a movie, It's history! And we can't forget about people who were part of it...
