Episode 23 begins with Eunice and Congressman McCallam meeting for dinner,only to be interrupted by his wife Marilyn,who knows all and threatens to end his career if he leaves her for Eunice.His response to Eunice: "see ya!"(this is the last appearance for both the Congressman and his wife).Burt runs away from the clinic because all of their secrets are the same,and he decides the time has come to reveal to a stunned Mary the secret of how he killed her first husband.Luis Avalos cameos as a doctor who naturally assumes that the visting Campbells are dangerous patients(he would play a different character in the show's final episodes).Corinne discovers Ingrid Svenson sleeping with Judge Petrillo,and decides to return to the mother who gave her love.Father Tim pays a visit to his mother,Flo Flotsky(Doris Roberts),to try to explain his feelings for Corinne,and that God would forgive him for leaving the priesthood,but his unresponsive mother refuses to give him her blessing.Back in court,Mr.Franklin produces his surprise witness: Mrs.Sheila Fine(making her final appearance),who knew Peter Campbell lying down,testifying that she heard Jessica say to Peter "I'm so angry I could kill you."
