Review of Lo

Lo (2009)
4/10
low production values even by student-film standards

Like a lot of people here, this popped up as a netflix suggestion. It begins with a guy summoning a demon, sitting in the dark in a pentagram. One rather expects that at some point the movie will stop being a guy sitting in the dark talking to a demon, but not really. There are cheaply made flashbacks and weird stuff like a song and an interview with two suffering souls, but the movie is still extremely claustrophobic. It's also badly acted and unexceptionally written.

I had read that this movie had a good ending, but around halfway through I just didn't feel up to slogging through any more of it, so I skipped to the ending, which yes, is rather good. But it's not worth suffering through this to get to the ending.
