Warning: Spoilers
As the Steptoes practice Badminton in the yard, the old man beats his son, and then riles him further by announcing he has joined the same sports club. That night, in a genuinely disturbing scene, a sleepwalking Harold almost kills Albert with a meat cleaver. In desperation, Harold visits a breast-fixated psychiatrist ( Raymond Huntley ). Gradually, the truth about Harold's awful childhood is revealed...

When 'Absolutely Fabulous' debuted twenty years ago, a number of critics expressed surprise at Joanna Lumley's ability to do comedy. I was not among them as I remembered her appearances in 'Are You Being Served?', 'Its Awfully Bad For Your Eyes Darling' and this. She plays 'Bunty', Harold's posh girlfriend. When Bunty and her snobbish mother ( Georgina Cookson ) turn up at Oil Drum Lane for tea, the old man has laid on a spread that includes cucumber sandwiches ( cut length ways ), and drinks served in urine sample glasses from the local hospital. Fleas from a mattress the old man bought that day infest the place, and Bunty and her mother run away, shrieking.

Raymond Huntley's credits are too numerous to list, but include the St.Trinians' films and the Arthur Askey comedy 'The Ghost Train'. Georgina Cookson was in two episodes of 'The Prisoner' starring Patrick McGoohan.

Funniest moment - Albert handing out sugar while picking his nose at the same time.
