Is the Sequel as Good?
14 July 2010
The sequel to the reboot can be compared by a lot. I was disappointed by its low rating. Though I found the game enjoyable, I cannot argue with the negative reactions. Once again, I know because I watched the PS2 version on YouTube.

I see the difficulty got on people's nerves. For starters, players were annoyed by "wave after wave of enemies". Thinking it'd take forever, that'll lead to stiff hands. The DS version, which I have, is not as good as the PS2 version. It's too easy to kill the enemies in the DS version. Pretty dishonourable to kill a dragon when its player gets tired.

Even though the timeline was short, it was more specific on the PS2 version, and it's more fun. The DS version has stiff images and maybe a couple glitches. But the music was so good. So, I ask myself if I only like it for the music--that and the cast. I understand there were challenges to keep the game going.

Elijah Wood and Gary Oldman return while Mae Whitman is Cynder and Billy West is Sparx. Billy was the best voice of Sparx because his high voice was right for a bug's voice. And comic mischief, my ass. I saw no humour. All jokes were just groaners. Kevin Michael Richardson--his tough, demonic voice was perfect for Gaul. In fact, it's right for any villain's voice.

What I liked about this game is the cast, the graphics, and Spyro's amazing attacks.
