The return of Rambaldi to the story line
4 September 2010
Warning: Spoilers
When the team are called in for the latest mission Sloane tells them that he will be having nothing to do with their next operation as it involves a former contact of his, Anna Espinosa, who shared his interest in the works of Milo Rambaldi. It seems that Anna is several steps ahead of the people at APO as she manages to kidnap Nadia and tells Sydney that she will kill her sister if she doesn't do a job for her. The job is to meet a contact in order to purchase an item. This doesn't sound to difficult but as payment he expects Sydney to kill a man for him and bring a severed finger as proof that she did it. It isn't giving away too much to say that Sydney didn't murder anybody but she did go far enough to allow the deal to go ahead. The item was very dangerous so as soon as Nadia is freed APO is working on a way to get the item back; this includes letting an old enemy think he has escaped from custody. While Vaughn and Marcus track this enemy to the supposed headquarters of Anna's organisation Sydney and Nadia go after Anna and the item… despite Sloane warning that if they went on this operation together only one of them will return, and as the credits began it looked as if he might have been right!

This was a pretty good episode, it was nice to see Sark again, David Anders is excellent in the role. It was also good that the series has returned to the followers of Rambaldi; things tend to get interesting when his devices and prophecies appear. There was even less closure than usual at the end of this episode which avoids rushing too quickly into the latest Rambaldi story line.
