Yeah it's unique, thrilling and also dramatic. Scenes, characters and direction was very original. Everything that you seek in a movie, BUT it is also very confusing for the simple audience. For example Memento is also confusing, but you'll figure out whats going on if you observe carefully. In Mulholland dr observing has no point if you don't know the fact, that 2 hours of the movie is just Diane's dream. Even if the turning point was meant to be not obvious, it's still impossible to crack, because it consists daydreaming and other confusing scenes and overall it ruined the "gag-line". It's like getting a present, but the present turns out to be a level 6 puzzle and i wouldn't call that entertaining. Also about those nude lesbian scenes - one shocking lesbian scene is enough.
