Review of Rubdown

Rubdown (1993 TV Movie)
1/10
Unbelievably contrived storyline rubs out "Rubdown" ......

Ecpect not only to suspend disbelief, but to throw it out the window. This contrived, confusing mess is given one point only for the performance of William Devane. Unfortunately he is killed off early, and what follows is total nonsense. The movie gets real talky, real fast, as any possibility of believability slips further and further away. Sure Michelle Phillips and Catherine Oxenberg are fun to look at, but that's about it, because the motivation behind this supposedly clever script is unbelievably weak. The ending is especially ridiculous, and the movie is just plain bad. ...................... - MERK
