This movie is one big voice-over. Almost a slide-show to go along with a speech. I think Bob McKee, the character from "Adaptation" says it best when he says, "...and God help you if you use voice-over in your work... It's flaccid, sloppy writing. Any idiot can write voice-over narration to explain the thoughts of a character."
Could he have been talking about this film? He would be all too right. Film is a "medium of movement and image", which is sorely lacking in this one.
There's little need to worry about spoilers when the movie itself does the spoiling. I predicted the ending too easily. Ultimately this is a pain to watch, and even more painful to listen to.
I suppose it's okay if you want to lay down, close your eyes and listen to a movie.
