A doctor's fiancé is to blame
20 June 2011
It is refreshing to see a "clueless" comedy made in Mexico City (from an Argentinian film) that shows the Mexican bourgeois. Not all Mexicans are drug dealers. Not all Mexicans want to live in the United States.

The acting is fine, the script follows the conventions of American comedies involving love and lust. The settings are in Mexico City and give some sense of what middle class life is in this city of over 20 million. And if it is not the funniest movie ever made, it is refreshing because it makes a lot more sense than many of our USA comedies, although that is not a high enough threshold.

I rank it so high because it is a pleasant little film that does not throw logic out the window,in contrast to America's recent spate of "romantic" comedies.
