Warning: Spoilers
Deltora quest is a story that, from the outside, looks like a successful one. The beginning of the story starts off well, the first time we meet Lief he is teasing Gray Guards in his town and then he discovers that he needs to go on this journey to save the land. Standard issue hero story. He is joined by the beggar from the front of his house, who is actually was a castle guard back before the big bad guy moved into town. And lastly, he is joined by a girl who grew up in the forest, Jasmine, with a weird furry companion that's called, Filli and a raven called, Kree. Together they travel the land searching for the gems that were united ages ago to fight off the evil of the big baddie.

And like I said, it starts off well enough, but the further you get into the story the more the main trio seem to be a pack of idiots rather than clever travelers. The most wicked man in the world could walk right up to the trio of Deltora Quest and get them to perform any deed they wanted so long as they had a smile on their face. This happens a LOT in this cartoon, so be warned. Jasmine and Lief soon turned into my most hated characters because of their self-righteousness and ignorance; they get upset with characters who have a good heart and who saves their skins more than once just because they don't smile(one man in particular, Doom, when he ever comes into the picture you will undoubtedly hate Jasmine). Or you will hate Lief and Barda for being the stupidest pair for walking right into a trap because the bait smiled and was nice to them. The trio are told time and again to watch out and be cautious, and they constantly get everything wrong, they constantly get into trouble because they're so stupid, it's very irritating to watch these parts of the story, another warning.

And then the ending...no words can describe how lame of an ending that was...All Lief's plan for finding the heir to the throne was to grasp at straws! There was no thought or plan to anything! That ending is just completely lame, I would have preferred Lief to be the humble son of a blacksmith, and I would have preferred for Jasmine to remain an orphan and I would have preferred for Doom to be someone unconnected to the royal family and even the castle.

Again, that ending is just lame...
