Seinfeld: The Soup (1994)
Season 6, Episode 7
"This soup is the best, Jerry, the best!"

Season 6, Episode 7, "The Soup"

"The Soup" is a good episode, consistent with the general quality of season 6, though not one of the best. The main thing that makes the episode memorable is that it marks the first appearance of Steve Hytner as terrible comedian Kenny Bania, who is the culmination of several bad comedian characters who appeared throughout the show's run and would be the one to remain as Jerry's main antagonist within the business (discounting Newman of course) for the remaining season.

Everything else in the episode is funny but pretty standard. British actor Daniel Gerroll is good as Elaine's boyfriend-of-the-week but his character doesn't make much sense; and Kramer doesn't have a lot going for him in the episode at all. Good filler episode.
