Air Pockets (1924)

It has some funny moments...but that's really all.

This is a comedy starring a forgotten comic, Lige Conley. It's made by Educational Pictures--an oddly named studio since they specialized in short comedies and there wasn't anything particularly educational about it.

The film is full of lots of action--lots. In particular, there were some crazy stunts involving airplanes that made me laugh. But, apart from that, the plot is very involved and confusing (it has too many story elements and the detective really wasn't needed), there are some funny but rather cruel fat jokes and racist stereotypes involving black characters that are guaranteed to offend. The bottom line is that although there are some good moments, you can see why Lige Conley is a forgotten comic. Decent but far from memorable.
