Neat Outfits
8 December 2011
As Halloween approaches, Ozzie (as Ozzie Nelson) wonders if he and Harriet (as Harriet Nelson) might be getting too old for costumes and celebrations. Ricky (as Ricky Nelson) is the most excited Nelson; wearing his skeleton costume early, he allows Ozzie to apply some ghostly white make-up. As the family sifts through their costumes, David (as David Nelson) wears a long, funny nose. After consulting with Thorny (Don DeFore), Ozzie decides the adults' Halloween doldrums are the result of poor party planning. But, when the men take over, Halloween goes awry...

Ozzie and the family put their stamp of approval on Halloween celebrations, for both kids and adults. It's nice to see the grown-ups having fun, but Dave and Ricky's off-screen party might have been more interesting. Going for the heart of those disapproving of Halloween, Ozzie wears a Devil costume. Ricky's cute skeleton outfit steals the show (it sure is "a neat outfit"). The episode takes advantage of Rick's fondness for dressing up (and breaking out in song and dance). Watch for cute little Jerry Mathers (not yet as "The Beaver") to show up trick-or-treating...
