I found the plot and characters in this episode to be weak. There were a number of characters who's actions and relationships went entirely unexplored, and although the bad-guy is shot dead by the end of the episode, much of the plot is left unresolved.
Why did the Christian, virgin, bondage, amnesiac, ex-boyfriend appear in the episode?
Why did the cute surfer girl live with the rapist/killer without experiencing any rape or murder?
Why was the waitress such good friends with the rapist/killer?
Why did the rich mother support her kid for years, then decide he was a bum and stop paying him at age 40?
