Bender finds love
18 May 2012
Warning: Spoilers
After the Planet Express ship crashes on take off the cause is traced to an essential L-beam that has been straightened... clearly it has been sabotaged by somebody skilled in the art of bending. Unable to think who could possibly have done it they consult the security tapes and discover that the guilty party is none other than Bender!!! He has been sleep-bending! It is assumed that this is due to his latent need to bend things which isn't satisfied by his work at Planet Express. To satisfy his need for bending, he gets a well paid job by working in a factory were most of the workers are on strike. When he gets there he is shocked to discover one of his co-workers is Flexo, he thought he was rotting in jail. His other co-worker is a fembot Anglelyne and it isn't long before the two of them are dating. All goes well until Bender sees Anglelyne with Flexo; she says that they are just friends now although they used to be married... Bender is unsure and decides to test her by going out with her while disguised as Flexo... it can not end well.

This isn't one of my top Futurama episodes but it still has some decent laughs; I think the best joke was Zoidberg's exploding slinky. The running gag featuring the professor being literally bent over backwards was pretty funny and Bender's 'cure' provided a good laugh. It was good to see both Flexo and the Robot Mafia returning; while they aren't the best guest characters they are quite fun... good occasional characters but not ones I'd want in every episode.
