More depressing than funny

Warning: Spoilers
Now Japanese movies based on manga just isn't good as the manga or even worse than the manga almost all the time. And that is the case for this movie. Now I haven't read the manga this movie is based on but I am pretty sure the manga is better. I can understand trying to fit a series into one 2 hour movie may not work efficiently but this movie is just dull and depressing all the way through. Now depressing movies work if it has the right formula or at least leaves an impact but this movie is just forgettable. With character I couldn't help but dislike to the point I couldn't have any sympathy for any of them. A awkward relationship with awkward moments leads up to somewhat of a "Rocky" flick which slightly got my attention because of the cause. The moral of this story is just depressing in a negative way. Now movies that leave a negative message might work if it leaves a mark but that isn't the case for this movie. Oh and the woman that played the character named Shiho is one of the most annoying character I ever seen. Her presence is just so darn cringe worthy. And her voice sounds like someone that is far from reaching puberty and smoked way too much.

(Spoiler)

Now the moral of this story is, despite you having a good conscience and having love for someone and fighting for what is right...Nice guys finish last.
