Having seen the evidence of Brody's treason, Saul takes it to David Estes and he authorises a surveillance operation against Brody… they don't only want him they also want his connections. Carrie is clearly pleased to be investigating Brody again even if she isn't officially back at the CIA. In order to rattle him into going to his contact Carrie arranges to 'accidentally' bump into him at CIA headquarters. If he does talk to his contact they can't spot it amongst the numerous meeting he has. As he sits in the hotel bar it looks as if he is about to call his handler but to everybody's surprise Carrie's phone rings… he wants her to join him for a drink. Away from the main drama Brody's daughter Dana is getting close to the vice-president's son Finn; the fact that he can arrange for them to have a private visit to the top of the Washington Memorial might have helped!

When it was revealed to the CIA that Brody was a traitor I was unsure what would happen next… after all the whole premise of the show so far has been that only Carrie suspected him and everybody else thought she was mad. Watching him to uncover his contacts seemed a good way to keep the drama going but the final scene ended that in stunning fashion… I have no idea what is going to happen next with Brody but I can't wait to find out! As always the acting is solid; Claire Danes does a fine job as the somewhat manic Carrie and Damian Lewis is good as the traitor Brody. The side story involving Dana is a slight distraction but it does at least serve to make his family look normal so we will care about them when the truth is finally revealed to the world… it can't be easy being a good person related to somebody who is universally hated for involvement in heinous crimes.
