Review of She's Dead

She's Dead (2012)
7/10
the best of Nik Box

The world of short movies is very small, when you are attending Uk shorts I can tell you that you will come across the same names a few times, Peter Murfet and Nik Box are two of them. I have seen a lot from both but this time it's Nik's short that I like a lot.

It's just a short and it's not because it clocks in at just over 1 hour. The story itself is very simple and the the place it was played is all the same all over this flick. Ben wakes up one morning realising that a girl is laying dead beside him. A one night stand turned wrong. Ben do has to get lost of the body and for that he hires Mr Clean. From there on there's a bit of black comedy and odd situations. It turns weirder when Barry arrives and commit some kind of necrophilia. But does it all looks what it seems?

Some scene's do take a bit too long and the editing isn't always correct but never mind you still want to know how they are going to solve the problem. There's a twist you can't see coming. The acting was rather good this time and the score used was also a relief. No arty farty this time just a good short with a nice plot change.
