I went in to the theater with relatively high expectations for this film, and for the most part they were met. It is not exactly historically accurate, but it is a fun, action packed movie where stars such as Brolin, Gosling, and Penn all shine. It is not too long, and has enough character development to keep you attached to the characters. The retro 1940's LA look is very well done, and the action is enough for any gangster movie loving fan to enjoy this movie. While it is not perfect, and not the best gangster movie out there, it surely is worth a watch. Any fans of "The Untouchables" will love this movie.
