Wonderfully high camp!
10 February 2013
By far this is the best movie in the box set. What is so unique about it is that the dialog is smart and funny, the actors are clearly having a lot of fun, and the two stories intertwine in a rather unusual sort of way. I love the fact that the characters in the "real World: are also represented in the comic book world as polar opposites. I also love the idea that both worlds are represented by the camera in very different styles. The real world is far more fluid and mobile while the comic book world is very flat and static, much like the panels in a comic book. You cannot help but laugh at what has to be the stupidest heroes of all time. Their dialog is done in just the right amount of seriousness that helps to establish the overall humor of the situation. The only drawback to the movie is the fact that it was not shot in high definition, and so it has a slight graininess on a flat screen TV. This is a fine example, for other film makers, of what you can do on a very small budget. High camp fun at its very best!
