I saw this movie on German television in 1993, my TV was at that time a black & white 14" monitor, i had the sound muted because i was playing my acoustic guitar while watching TV. After half an hour i turned the sound on and watched this movie, something about the lighting, camera-work and scenery drew my attention. The simplicity and acceptance behavior of the main character made a connection, a deep connection. At the time i was in a similar situation... At the End, i just cried while taping the credit-music on my cassette-recorder (Mono Mini jack). It is the most beautiful yet haunting singing-voice, still to date, that i have ever heard.
