With a cast like this, I was expecting big things. Sadly what I got was a tired, old fashioned, unfunny, misogynistic program. Clichéd, cringe-worthy and lacking in anything approaching laughs. If you're a fan of The Dick Emery/Benny Hill school of 1970s sexist sitcoms then It'll be right up your street, but not for me. It had me squirming in my seat with embarrassment - true car crash stuff. Whatever happened to the original talent of the likes of Walliams, Tate, et al? As for Philip Glenister, well all I can say is bye, bye career - The Gene Genie will be turning in his grave. Definitely one to miss! Though having said that - maybe watch it for the painful experience, because it won't be coming back for a second series!
