Hans Mehringer's routine direction of "Strangler in the Tower" is not much to write home about, but I suppose it could have been worse and he does make a bit of an impact with the murder sequences and the stuff with the black-robed brothers. The players are also attractive. Charles Regnier earns top honors for acquitting himself very capably in a dual role, while the lovely Christa Linder (Miss Austria of 1962) is most definitely a sight for sore eyes. The screenplay's pseudonym, Michael Thomas, disguises the prolific well-known producer/director, Erwin C. Dietrich (The Calendar Girls, Tempting Roommates, Girls Without Lovers, Cobra Mission, Dance to Win, etc.). This in fact was his first of well over a hundred movie credits.
