Jolly LLB (2013)

A gripping satire on Indian courtrooms.....
15 November 2013
"Jolly LLB" is a satire on Indian courtrooms and lawyers on how the laws are manipulated, evidences tampered, and cases extended in the Indian courts. The film also highlights the difficulties faced by the novice lawyers, who make up makeshift offices in front the law courts. One of such lawyers in the film is Arshad Warsi who fights a case against a highly influential lawyer Rajpal (Boman Irani). The conversations between them and the judge and all the activities they get indulged into brings the essence of the film and gives a satirical outlook to the Indian lawsuits. The courtroom scenes just keep you glued to your seats, and the three main cast Arshad Warsi, Boman Irani, and Saurabh Sukla (judge) make the film hilarious most of the time. The specialty of the film is it sticks to its theme and doesn't become much dramatic. Perhaps a very good film on a current situation to come from Bollywood recently.
