Review of The Evolution of Andrew Andrews

I created an account just so I could leave this review. These are the movies I love. Why can't Hollywood make these movies? They came close with Billy Madison but it was too commercialized. One critic compared this to Lars and the Real Girl. I sort of agree. This has all the humor that Lars didn't. Lars felt more like a Slice of Life movie with a tidbit of humor but it had heart. This movie is more like a comedy with heart and a tinge of Slice of Life. I read negative comments on here about no action, boring, etc. This is a character study. It's about the "Evolution" of a character who changes drastically from the beginning to the end. My favorite thing about this movie is how different he is at the end of the movie from where he started. Great actor, Great character arc, good movie. I won't give it a 9 out of 10 because the filmmakers needed more coverage but since I know that's related to budget I won't dock them too much. I would recommend this movie to anyone who loves character studies like myself. We need more, Hollywood!!
