Sixteen (II) (2013)
7/10
Amazing take on delicate subject though stereotypical at places
14 December 2013
Warning: Spoilers
After GIPPI this is yet another film showcasing life of children at school, though it's presumed High Secondary Of course there are plenty of stereotypes and clichés like the rich girl, wannabe model also several scenes do seem stretched while some are clichéd. Yet the film does open up on issues seldom depicted on Indian screen which do startle you Hiccups - Yes, The songs do seem unwanted, also the pace gets bothersome esp in second half

Direction by Raj Purohit is good Music as I mentioned distracts though tracks are situational

Amongst newcomers

Wamiqa Gabbi - as Tanisha,Izabelle Liete as Anu,Mehak Manwani - as Nidhi,Highphill Mathew - as Ashwin,Sumit Bharadwaj – as Sameer,Alka Chatarwal - as Ashwin's Mother are all good,Zakir Hussain is fab as usual,Varun Jhamb -as Rishi,Kiran Lall,Rohan Mehra – as Kartik and rest are all good, Keith Sequeira as Vikram is good though the newcomers are raw at places and their diction and dubbing does bother
