Livia has a massive stroke and ends up dying. Tony gets his sisters together. Although Livia asked for no funeral Janice thinks it is a good idea to make one. So she organizes one and asks people to share their memories of Livia. This doesn't go exactly as planned. Tony is also not happy with Meadow's new friend because he is black.
Well there are many reasons to wish somebody would not die and I am sure there are many to be sorry about Nancy Marchand's death. But as somebody who only knows her as an actress, what saddens me the most is that I won't get to see the original idea of 3rd season where she may testify in court against Tony. This would have been amazing.
But life has it's own ways. And I must say it was a good episode say a good bye to a very special and memorable character, greatly portrayed by a wonderful actress.
