Warning: Spoilers
Bollywood is known for stereotyping women and mostly showing them meek and humble but LAADLA was different. The film shows women as an ambitious person who is an anti-heroine.The film is a remake of Rajkumar's blockbuster Kannada movie called Anuraga Aralithu (1986). Before in 1992, it was filmed in both Telugu and Tamil as Gharana Mogudu and Mannan, respectively, starring Chiranjeevi and Rajinikanth respectively. The film is a mix of clichés and modernism in a blend that worked in 1990s There are some flaws no doubt like Anil is showing coming from a flight in the start which is never explained as he is a poor, while the climax too is heckeyened and suddenly Sridevi changes to a housewife which is very baffling and tries to prove that a women who is good will be a housewife but for a 1994 film it's okay.Even there are some crude comic scenes involving drunk Anil. The film is well handled by Raj Kanwar though a few flaws. Music is decent, Ladki hai kya and many songs are good

Anil Kapoor is as always excellent in his role, Divya Bharati had shot for half the film before her death and the makers had to replace her and re-shoot those portions with Sridevi, in any way Sridevi is simply outstanding in the role and fits it to the T Raveena Tandon is decent, Anupam Kher entertains though at times he hams too much, Farida Jalal is as usual, Aruna Irani too is as usual Shakti Kapoor, Prem Chopra, Mohinish Behl, Paresh Rawal are as usual as the villains, Ravi Bhaswani is hilarious.

In one scene of the film Anil and Ravi Bhaswani fight to get a ticket of Khalnayak, Ironically Anil was offered that role before.
