Police detective Catherine Chandler (Kristin Kreuk) is rescued by mysterious Vincent Keller (Jay Ryan). It turns out that he was a soldier who was experimented on by a secret organization including Catherine's mother. He becomes a powerful animalistic killer when he gets stressed. He is helped out by nerd friend J.T. Forbes (Austin Basis). Catherine's police partner is Tess Vargas (Nina Lisandrello).
This show started off with some promise but already with some difficulties. The action never looked great, and is never that real. I do like the fact that the beast isn't that beastly. Others may disagree, but having a lion-like beast would be too campy. It's really the writing that is lacking. It's a bit too clunky. The lead actors are reasonable, but like the show, it's nothing too outstanding.
