This film begins with several indictments by Americans against America including genocide of the native Americans, slavery, wars for oil, American imperialism, etc. The film then explains in an entertaining and well documented way how these criticisms of America are incorrect, distorted, and championed by those who simply ignore the truth about them.
For example, while slavery is an unfortunate part of our history, it is a part of the history of many other countries, both ancient and current. But there is no other country where 300,000 men gave their lives to abolish it. By the way, did you know that there were several thousand black men who owned over 10,000 slaves before the civil war? I was not aware of this.
