This series is a wonderful delight, especially for female viewers. The characters are so engaging, you feel they are your friends almost instantly. The writers effortlessly draw you into the lives of these ladies, their struggles & their friendships. As the story develops, you find redeeming qualities in the "villains" which make you love them, too. The truth of women keeping the world turning during war while men were off fighting is romanticized a bit, but it is a good reminder that women were the key to the war effort.
The only disappointment is that the series ended so soon. Just two seasons leaves you wanting more. They have created a movie in an effort to satisfy the demands of the audience. It aired in March of 2014, but at the time of this posting, is not yet available to watch online. You will not regret investing your time & heart into watching this one!
