Fascinating episode chronicles the arrival of Spanish Conquistador Cortez to Mexico in 1519, where he invaded the Aztec people in order to conquer their civilization. He was greeted with astonishment by the Aztec people and their leader Montezuma, because not only had they never seen people like this before who had unknown things like steel and horses, but their arrival was foretold in an old prophecy, right down to the exact date. Cortez had Montezuma arrested, and was disgusted by their practice of human sacrifice. This led to a revolt, and though the Spanish were incredibly outnumbered, they still put it down, and the later death of Montezuma brought the Aztec Empire to a close.
