McHale finds there much to running a base.

After viewing the last few episodes anything that came close to being an average show was going to get a nice review. And in this show it was at least entertaining enough where you could get interested in the story.

It begins when Binghamton is having to deal with many small things going on around the base. He is at wits end when he gets a call that Admiral Rafferty, a strict by-the-rules man, is coming for an inspection of the base. Binghamton thinks of a plan where he will check himself into the hospital and leave McHale as acting Commander of the base. And without telling McHale about the Admiral's inspection, he believes that McHale and his crew will screw up the base so bad that they will be transferred or even face a court-martial.

With the crew having a party with hula-girls, everything seems to be going as planned for Binghamton. But when the Admiral gets to the camp and visits Binghamton in the hospital, all of the sudden the tables turn and now Binghamton is looking like the one that may be transferred or at least in need of a long vacation.

This really was not a bad show. The script was interesting and the story was entertaining enough to keep the attention of the viewer. There was still some rough patches but much better than the previous few offerings. This episode was at best watchable. Plus it does not hurt the show to see the beautiful Raquel Welch, in one of her first acting gigs, in swimwear. That alone is an extra star rating.
