Great fun and heaps of kills! from Ratcat your 3D games reviewer

Warning: Spoilers
Since it had been many years since the first play-through the second time around was quite unrecognisable so there was much fun to be had. First off for the 3D review. Despite most old games working very well in 3D this game just does not which is most unfortunate because it would look fabulous but, despite its age there are some quite nice textures and the devs have made great use of shadows and colours. The puzzles in TR4 range from quite easy to very hard. Perhaps during the first play-through it wasn't actually clocked because as we all know, one can become quite 'stuck'. The story is easy to follow and the game seamlessly employs the story-line at the start to run through a tuition. there is no avoiding this because it is integral to the game. Unlike games these days this one goes on and on. Many hours of gameplay and very clever in all aspects of its design. Forgive the blocky graphics because hey, c'mon that was back in '99 when games were really just hitting their peak! TR4 leaves current games in shame when it comes to sheer length but we can always play those old faves since they are very cheap to buy. GOG.com (good old games) has them for the price of a cup of coffee! If you have never played any Tomb Raider games it is highly recommended that you start at TR1 and if you get stuck check out Stella Tomb Raider site at http://tombraiders.net/ happy Gaming. Ratcat.
