This movie has a lot of actors you've heard of in minor roles. Rutger Hauer (Blade Runner) Barry Bostwick, Michael Beihn (Aliens) and even Lou Ferigno (The Hulk). All of whom collected their booze money checks for being in a couple of scenes.

Mystical Artifact that deal bad consequences on the unworthy. Check. I give the most credit to Bostwick for trying to treat this material seriously when no one else was.
I can't say it was horrible to watch. But I can't say it was good, either.
