This truck runs on Zombies......
5 April 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Barry is a mechanic whose life is torn apart, when his family is slain by his own hands on the eve of a zombie apocalypse (they were turning).

His sister, Brooke, is kidnapped by soldiers and is experimented on by a strange, Bruce Spence looking doctor.

While Brooke plans her escape, Barry goes out on the road and teams up with fellow survivors , and together they arm themselves and battle their way through hordes of flesh- eating monsters in the bushland...........mate.

The poster promised a exploitative mix of Mad Max and Dawn of the Dead, so being a fan of both, I was instantly sold, and it starts off really dark and sinister, and then hastily goes downhill from there.

The concepts pretty sound, Zombies are more powerful at certain times of the day and can be used as fuel, but it's as if the makers have no idea what to do next, they played their Wild Card of shock too soon, and now are left with the gorenography element we all knew and tolerated for a couple of years thanks to Saw and Hostel.

So for the rest of the film we have our heroes dress up like gimps, shooting the undead, and then randomly cut to the psycho doctor and his gory for gores sake experiments.

There is one really good joke involving a first aid kit and beer, but it's nowhere near enough to save a promising film.
