Oh come on! Why didn't anyone save me from this?!

Warning: Spoilers
Seriously?! How did this get made? It's like some college students decided to raid their local film archive library and mix it into their "movie" while also successfully combining every Final Cut Pro and Adobe After Effects filter and effect (we are talking strobe, Blur and Sharpen, Distort, Lens Flare, Checkerboard, Paint Bucket, Noise and Grain, etc all in ONE scene).

First off, this is supposed to be a found footage film, but towards the end, it's as if the people responsible for this film forgot. All of a sudden we have extra cameras, zooming capability on characters and different camera angles galore.

The acting is beyond terrible. The characters were incredibly stupid. **Spoiler** For instance, the girl is trying to save her husband from the killer octopus and she has an ax in her hand... BUT, you want to know what she does to save him? She DROPS the ax and proceeds to hit the monster with her husband's detached arm. Does this sound stupid to you?? Good because this is the whole movie. Oh and suddenly one of the characters has a gun in his back pocket after being captured three times. (And I know the filmmakers tried to make that campy).

And this movie wasn't scary. Don't be fooled. There are no scary scenes, which was sad because the set up premise had lots of potential... well until the end when we discover that **spoiler** the killer monster is a horny octopus; the henchman looks like he works at KFC; and the mediator-dude with the cane (which is a useless prop) is like a character from the 1960s Batman TV series.

I don't write movie reviews--- but I felt obligated to save the world. Now, I LOVE scary movies and I even love the C-rated campy ones, but this film is entirely on a different scale of being very, very, very bad. In fact, IMDb really needs a new Genre called "Lame" because then when I want to waste money, time and dignity, I'll choose this. Don't do it... I know some people will now want to watch how bad this is, but don't do it.
