Nice to see Nelson develop some More,

Sleeping with the Enemy is a great Simpsons episode with a very well written storyline and plenty of very funny scenes. We get to see Nelson's character develop significantly for the first time, the show had made several jokes and references relating to his family and living conditions in previous episodes, but in this we get to see some proper depth in his character and begin to look at the character beyond simply being a bully, I really like that. I think the episode definitely could have revolved around Nelson's parents a bit more, we could have learned more about his mother certainly, they are easily characters the show could go back to at some stage in the future, there is a story to tell there. I enjoyed Lisa's side story, it was a very different moment for this character but I think it was a necessary subject to tackle and they did it well, filled with humour but also realism that this is a problem facing many teenagers. Sleeping with the Enemy is a fun and very sweet Simpsons episode.

Nelson moves in with the Simpsons after he starts becoming close to Marge.
