Stephen King Territory (2006)

*** (out of 4)

Good thirteen-minute featurette has an archival interview with Stephen King where he talks about his inspiration for PET SEMATARY and why he demanded that the producers shoot it in main. We also get interviews with author Douglas E. Winter, producer Richard Rubinstein, director Mary Lambert and actors Dale Midkiff and Brad Greenquist. For the most part this is an entertaining featurette that fans of the film should enjoy. The King footage appears to have been taken from two different interviews but they're quite nice as the author talks about his original inspiration as well as the importance of having the film shot in Maine. From here the producer, director and stars talk about certain aspects of the book and how King's detailed writing helped the film.
