I utterly fail to understand what the hype is all about. The movie is a complete dud from every possible perspective. I could not get rid of the headache it gave me for another couple of hours.
Girl: Screws up the poor husband -plays him into being forced into an asylum in London, leaves him there to rot and leaves for India. There she demeans her family and flirts with any guy around. Tries to get back with ex. Gets to know that the guy is marrying again- creates a whole drama to get back with him.
Guy: Gets screwed by wife, goes back to India after her. Sends a passive- aggressive divorce notice with a letter begging for an apology (ugh!). Spots his wife's doppelganger half his age- creepily stalks her, ends up wooing her. Almost marries her even before the divorce comes through. Leaves her at the 'mandap' for the screw-up wife!
The Other Girl: Fresh graduate, rustic girl. Falls for guy twice his age who stalks her because she looks like his wife. No concern about unresolved issues or the heavy baggage despite plenty of evidence to the contrary . Ends up getting dumped at her own wedding.
Do not even get me started on the sub plots- they did not even make any sense, and all of the loose ends were left hanging.
Except for maybe a few witty one-liners which make you crack up (which had a lot to do with the 'UP wala' accent), the movie was dumb as a doorknob.
Please do not torture yourself. Avoid!
