Neat little thriller

Irem (a solid performance by Al Cliver) and his enticing gal pal Barbara (luscious brunette fox Silvia Dionisio) are a carefree young couple who are invited to spend a weekend cruise on board a yacht owned by ruthless and cynical industrialist Giorgio (ably played to the hateful slimy hilt by John Steiner). Giorgio's timid and browbeaten wife Silvia (a sympathetic portrayal by the fetching Elizabeth Turner) forms a love triangle with Irem and Barbara and the trio plot to kill the evil domineering bastard.

Director Ruggero Deodato, working from a tight and involving script by Franco Bottari and Fabio Pittoru, relates the absorbing story at a steady pace, milks plenty of tension from the claustrophobic boat setting, and delivers plenty of tasty female nudity along with lots of hot soft-core sex and a sizzling erotic atmosphere. The sturdy acting by the uniformly fine cast holds the picture together, with Steiner a particular stand-out as a real sadistic and detestable control freak jerk. Marcello Giombini's catchy'n'groovy syncopated score keeps things bouncing along. Mario Capriotti's sunny cinematography provides an attractive sparkling look. Well worth a watch.
