Cool gangster action and a great song

Most fans of the King of Pop will probably hate me for saying this, but this one here may very well be absolute favorite of Michael Jackson's legacy songs. The picks which are usually considered his biggest hits do not really work for me, but "You Rock My World" is such a catchy song that you just cannot refuse to groove to the melody. This music video was written and directed by famous music video director Paul Hunter and Jackson himself co-wrote. There's a bit of an irony that I prefer this video a lot over the other music videos by Jackson made by legendary filmmakers such as Francis Ford Coppola or Martin Scorsese. The reason probably is that all these huge effects and supernatural creatures never did too much for me, but this one here is a nice little gangster movie of 14 minutes. Chris Tucker wasn't too memorable for me, but Billy Drago and Michael Madsen have truly great screen presence in here. Drago always does. Oh yeah and Marlon Brando is in here as well for 2 scenes, his last performance in film and he was already in his mid-70s. Admittedly, it's a bit tough to see Jackson as a real badass here with how little of his original face still existed and him looking like a doll almost and I also could not really believe that chick would choose him over Madsen's character, but these are just minor flaws. A well-rounded effort and I quite enjoyed watching this one. Thumbs up. Excellent music.
