Bunnicula, the Vampire Rabbit (1982)

** (out of 4)

Throughout a small town, the vegetables begin to lose their colors. Tomatoes, carrots and other items are now all white with a tooth mark in them. Soon a family begins to think that their pet bunny might be a vampire. BUNNICULA, THE VAMPIRE RABBIT originally aired as part of the ABC Weekend Specials series. I must say that the title itself is great but the actual film isn't all that good. The animation itself is quite good but that's about it. The characters are pretty forgettable and that includes the actual vampire bunny. Perhaps the film would have been there had they actually featured the title character more. The idea of fruit being drained of its juice is interesting but very little is done with it.
