Deservedly obscure!
17 August 2015
I am inserting reviews for all films I'v seen that lack one, this was recently shown on Talking Pictures on Sky, review follows.... Deservedly obscure (not yet 5 votes, can't find it on the BBFC website) British 'comedy' the plot involves a couple of best mates who plan to go to China for an adventure, but on the eve of the trip one of them cancels announcing he is about to get married, his friend heads off alone.. It then jumps forward a couple of years, the married man is dominated by his wife, his friend returns and stays with them, as he tries to encourage his friend to be a bit more independent, the wife seeks direct advice from an 'agony aunt', then there is a farcical trip taken by 3 of them! With a better script, cast & director this may have been amusing, as it is, it isn't. Only familiar name among the cast & crew is producer Anthony Havelock-Allan only 6 years from 'In Which We Serve'.
