Review of Festa

Festa (1989)
7/10
As time goes by
6 December 2015
The entire film is shot in a unique setting. That makes the movie look like a theatre play. While the story happens during an upper class party, the main characters are people who try to make a living as opportunities appear and someone them to work there. The problem is that as time goes by they are still waiting in another room of the luxury house to be called, without anything to do and not being allowed to eat and drink what is offered to the guests. The pool players want to get some money betting against the guests, but few of them go there. The harmonica player feels really bad as he wanted to show his talent and not just go there to get some money. The three guys are bored and frustrated, and each guest who goes there is seen by them as a hope. Though, they are invisible for those fancy and important people. The film is interesting and original.
