Tough, thought provoking, well worth seeing.

Warning: Spoilers
Anne and Kevin are the ordinary parents of Danny, the future looks bright, Kevin has a great job, and is being given the opportunity of a post in Singapore, life looks good. Danny's behaviour starts becoming a little erratic, he leaves School, and seemingly his bright future, and even pulls a knife on mum Anne. She does the only thing she can and seeks help, Danny is sectioned. After a while he is diagnosed as being a schizophrenic, the effects on Danny and his family are devastating, dad Kevin seems to struggle most of all with the news, while Anne does all she can to get him home.

A tough watch, I wonder how much of this show was reality and how much was fiction, at times it was so sad and upsetting. Huge plaudits to all concerned, the acting was first rate, no wonder it was BAFTA nominated, Judi Dench, Michael Williams, Richard Henders all superb, I find it criminal that these Screen one/two dramas don't get commercial releases, they really were of a high standard. Fortunately this was released. 8/10
