Warning: Spoilers
"The Day the Music Died" is not only a very boastful title regardless of how talented Buddy Holly may have been, but it is also the title of this 25-minute live action short film written and directed by Bruno Miotto back 6 years ago. I personally was not too impressed watching this. Music and makeup were okay, but in terms of the story, this was not a convincing watch I have to say. This is quite a shame as the actor who played Buddy Holly wasn't too bad, but the ridiculous love story depicted was and also the tragic ending seemed just included for the sake of it and went for no longer than maybe a minute, so this minute is what the title describes? I am not convinced. I am not even a great Buddy Holly fan, but I do believe that he deserves better. Not worth watching. Thumbs down and I guess there is a reason why Miotto has not enjoyed a great breakthrough as filmmaker. Judging from his work here, he probably does not have enough talent, at least not in terms of writing.
